Easter '16

Tuesday, March 29, 2016

For some reason, I always feel the need to dress rather girly on Easter. Most girls at one point in their life had to wear those cute, frilly Easter outfits and I guess I feel the need to still channel whatever feminine flair I have left in me when the time comes back around. However, like I always do, I made sure to incorporate some genuine suede into my ensemble to make the lace slip-style skirt a little more edgy. And pairing my outfit back to booties and not heels definitely keeps it casual enough for brunch without feeling like I just came from church. XO

Powder Blue.

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Sometimes I struggle to figure out how to incorporate color into my wardrobe. I typically wear a lot of neutrals - mostly black. But for some reason this powder blue caught my attention. The dusty color is the perfect shade to wear with all my plain neutrals and pales. I got this trench while I was out in LA visiting my cousin (Hi Mckenzie!<3) and she took me shopping down Santee Alley. The place was a gold mine for fast fashion and was really up to par on the latest trends. I mean, it really just doesn't get ANY better than California shopping. I had been on the prowl for a trench for some time before finding this and can't wait to play with it through the transition of seasons to come. XO

Leather Fringe.

Friday, March 11, 2016

This fringe sweater might be my current closet fave and was only $10 from Zara's huge blowout sale. Yup, only ten bucks! Nick referred to me as a walking cat toy because I'm often wearing fringe of some sort or jewelry that is often enticing to Mr. Jasper. Whatever, I like it. Not too much to say today, other than HAPPY FRIDAY! Spinnin' around today in my fringe fringe fringe because it's finally the weekend. XOOO!

Burnt Orange.

Monday, March 7, 2016

A few Sunday's ago, Nick and I went to an early morning movie and in order to still pretend I was still in my pj's, I grabbed these burnt orange palazzo pants from the archives of my closet and kept them super casual with some chucks. I felt it was the perfect way to run all the errands I wanted to do that day, but easily crawl back into bed as soon as I got back home and man, oh man, it was a brilliant idea. Side note - Tori's grandma Fran used to always give me random treasures, like old Vogues, colorful tights, etc. and the last batch of things I received from her was a bag full of belts. Here I'm wearing this funky bohemian suede belt with bronze beading on it. Definitely one of those things you probably can't find in a store now but I'll be able to have forever. XO

Shit That I Knit.

Wednesday, March 2, 2016

Cold weather is back at it again and I'm so lucky that I know I can rely on my Shit That I Knit beanie to keep my ears warm as can be! I met Christina, the founder of Shit That I Knit, when I was working at Flock. You can usually score some of her great merch there as well as the STIK website. She's super rad, young, and totally loves to knit shit. Grandma chic! Stay warm while supporting local brands like Christina's this winter. XO
