Welcome Baby Jack!

Saturday, July 19, 2014

7.5 pounds and 19 inches of absolute perfection arrived at 4:12pm today! He is already SO loved and destined to be beyond spoiled by all the ladies in this family. AND he's a little red-head! (That makes for 3 generations.) Could he be any cuter?! Definitely not.

Flockin' Blog Interview

This past week, I was interviewed by the other Flock Boston team members for the Flock Blog! They took a look into my place, my life, and my aspirations. Definitely take the time to check out my interview here. Since we were getting on a more personal level than professional, the Flock photographer Steph Larsen took a few shots of my humble abode! Stay tuned for a more detailed post of my place to check out my flea finds & DIY's. But for now, enjoy!

Touch of Grey

Monday, July 14, 2014

After a week of walking, working, and just being on my feet, sometimes it's nice to tone it down a bit and wear something more comfortable for the day. My outfit for Saturday was extremely laid back, but still looked feminine if you add the right touch. I turned to my trusty Converse to give my feet a break from sandals and booties. As for pants, I chose cropped boyfriend denim from American Eagle. Sometimes it's hard to find the perfect fit for me there, but when I do, they always are so durable and I know that I'll have them for a long time coming. Lastly, since I'm a girl of habit, I always lean towards my absolute favorite items in my closet. T-shirts. I'm a T-shirt junkie. This Chaser Brand Grateful Dead tank is from Flock and even though it's new, it has a completely vintage feel in the texture of the fabric. Like something your parents owned back in the day that you took over. It's a little over-sized, so you can either tie it to the side like I did or just totally embrace the bagginess. And ladies, when you wear an outfit that's this laid back, you MUST remember your stacks on stacks of bracelets to add the feminine touch and also a burst of color!

That time again...

Brimfield season! My favorite time of the year. I grew up in a house where flea markets and yard sales were something we would go searching for on the weekends. Especially my mom and I. We'd leave early in the morning and hope to come home with one of a kind finds. The desire to go searching through other people's old items is something that has stuck with me as I got older and has even become more exciting. For those who aren't familiar, Brimfield Antique Market is about a mile long, and a half a mile wide and is filled beyond belief with hidden treasures. Vendors from all over the country collaborate unique pieces so there's a little something for every customer. It only comes 3 weeks out of the year and this week was one of them. I left with several different crystals, rings, antlers, vinyl, a belly full of good food, and even a gift for a friend. Each time I leave with different items and anticipate the next week I can go again.

My outfit:
Dress and hat: Forever 21 + Boots: Nine West (thrifted)
I also made sure to carry around my trusty leather & canvas backpack from Urban Outfitters.

Brant Rock Beach Wall.

My day with my mom and sister was filled with rock hunting, jetty climbing, sun bathing, ice cream eating, and pure happiness. Nothing like some quality time before Baby Capp makes his arrival!

4th of July weekend!

Sunday, July 6, 2014

This past weekend was one I'd like to put on repeat for the rest of the summer. I was lucky enough to have the entire weekend off from work so I tried to make sure every second of it was spent with the ones I love most. Although we had a rainy 4th of July, I made sure my outfit was simple & chic but not super patriotic. Just enough. A little goes a long way.

Outfit details:
Tank: Gap // Shorts: Francesca's Collection
Scarf & Bracelets: Flock Boston // Sandals: Target

Here's a quick photo journal of my amazing Sunday afternoon (and this doesn't even cover my amazing Saturday full of friends, family, volleyball, pizza, etc). I spent the first half of my day at Brant Rock at my Aunt's beach house. I'm lucky to have such a laid back, positive woman in my life such as my aunt. The second half of my day was spent at my family's house. We had a cookout, the pool, and fireworks to top off a perfect day. There's no better way to spend your time than with your favorite people, surrounded by great vibes.
