champion cobalt

Here's a quick look into my living room from this weekend. All of our walls were bright white so I felt like it was time to add a pop of color. I chose Champion Cobalt by Benjamin Moore. We have a lot of things and a lot of art so I felt like our salon wall was in need of something fun so here it is! XO

Ready for Fall with Banana Republic

Sunday, September 25, 2016

My favorite season is finally here. I mean, I could do without the pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin everything but count me in for all things spooky, apple picking, my birthday, and alllllll things fall fashion related. Banana Republic stepped up to plate to help me prep for my fall wardrobe, sending me some perfect essentials. The weathers been on the brink of hot and chilly so I took this boucle overcoat and paired it back to some denim cut-offs. This jacket is AMAZING. Color, texture, fit. It's gorgeous. It is for sure the only coat I'll be needing this season. It's such a substantial piece that I knew all I needed was a cozy favorite tee to go with my ensemble. I chose an unexpected pairing of chartreuse and emerald to play with the otherwise muted palette I chose to wear. This tee is one of those ones you want to wear 7 days a week but don't want to run into anyone who might actually notice, ya know? Stay tuned for additional ways to wear these pieces - I know there will be lots of those moments to come. And thank you Banana Republic for sponsoring this post! XO.

Sunflower

Sunday, September 18, 2016

For the first time in awhile, I decided to not make any solid weekend plans. I've been super tired lately and to top it off was super sick this week, so the last thing I wanted to do was go about someone else's schedule. Kasey and I sent our Saturday wandering around Colby Farm in Newbury, MA. The North Shore is super gorgeous and nothing like the South Shore. Farmland surrounds you, where I'm use to concrete building and oceans. Colby Farm was quaint, fairly small but beautiful sunflowers everywhere AND they had apple cider donuts. (!!!!!) Found an apple orchard up the street and picked up a peck. My night followed with runs around the dog park with Athena and Nick and brunch with everyone on Sunday. We take brunch very seriously in our apartment, or at least I do. XO

Athena

Friday, September 16, 2016

Guys we adopted a pup! Her name is Athena and she's from Puerto Rico. We adopted through an rescue called We Love Satos! She's a spitfire. Sometimes she's mellow and loving and the next moment she's a bundle of energy and quite the little rebel. She loves the water (all types, the pool, beach, puddles) sticking her head out the window, and walks through the woods. We're in love with her and feel like she was meant for us.

Union Point Food Truck Rodeo 9/9

Monday, September 12, 2016

Hey gang! Long time no chat. Just one of those months, ya know? Reasons being MIA: I've been working a lot, crafting a lot, and we got a puppy. Which is time consuming but amazing. Her name's Athena! We adopted her from Puerto Rico but I'll catch you up more on that later. Anyways, as you saw last on my blog, I made a night out of Union Point's Food Truck Rodeo in Weymouth, MA. Well they had another one this past Friday so I made sure to head on over again. Some of the old favorite trucks (The Bacon Truck, The Sausage Guy) and there were some new ones too! Compliments made the most amazing fried cauliflower you've ever tasted - and was even gluten free for those who has intolerances! Another new fave is Roxy's Grilled Cheese. Everything from original to grilled cheese with guac, muenster cheese, and bacon! ... Currently drooling. Not only was there tons of food and live music like last time, but they even started incorporating fashion trucks this time around! (Next month, I'll even be there selling some of my handmade leather goods.) I've been participating in Union Point's Farm & Fashion Markets most Sundays for the past month or so selling my handmade items with my friend Ashley from Style Revolver. The next Food Truck Rodeo is on a Saturday, October 8th from 10-4. You'll have to come visit me at my tent and don't forget to drop me off a Sopapilla from Papi's. XO
