Here's some of my most recent styling work from before I left for Mexico. Late February, a friend of mine, Steph Larsen was asked to put on a live photo-shoot during NESOP's open house (the school she went to for photography). Students were able to watch & ask questions they had regarding her work, her experiences, etc. I collaborated with Steph to execute a vision she had. She shared a few ideas with me and we went to town sharing an inspiration board and exchanging ideas. We wanted a dark, wet, androgynous look and I'd say we nailed it. I went searching for anything in a deep, rich-tone palette as well as trying to mix various prints and textures. Spent a good chuck of my time thrifting a lot of the pieces which I also enjoy. We worked with an incredible make-up artist Dianna Quagenti. It was seriously pure magic watching her bring the vision to life. Also worked with two wonderful models, Jaimee and Anna. Jaimee had modeled for my senior collection look-book about a year ago and I just loved her from that moment then on. Anna, who was equally as awesome to work with, had a totally different look and was super excited to try something different. Such a fun shoot!

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a wonderful week on vacation with Nick's family. After his dad's wedding (which was seriously a blast!), we headed to Mexico for a family-moon. (Honeymoon... with the whole family!) Lots of soaking up the sunshine, jumping through crazy waves on the beach, snorkeling through caves, zip-lining, ropelling into crystal clear water, visiting the Mayan ruins, ahhhh so much fun. I want to go back already. Here's a few pictures I was able to take when I randomly remembered to throw my camera in my backpack. Typical tourist shots, and a bonus outfit picture. Grabbed my Ladakh little white dress from Flock. Seriously the single most perfect vacation dress!

Nothin' like a little Easter attire to put you in a Spring kinda mood! I gotta say though, Easter isn't my favorite holiday. It totally gets surpassed by Halloween, Christmas, 4th of July (is that even a holiday?) Whatever, to me it is. I'm not religious by any means but I enjoy spending time with my family & the people I love and I guess that's what it really comes down to. These are the people that give me endless encouragement and love and holidays are the best reminder of those. Being surrounded by love can totally engulf you and make you feel complete. So I hope you enjoyed those Cadbury mini eggs and family brunch. XO

Have you ever loved something so much it hurts? These boots are poor victims of my love. They are soul mates for my feet. A sole mate, if you will. I have literally worn them through the ground. I haven't been able to wear them lately but pulled them up from the grave this morning because, well.. they were too perfect to pass up. Unfortunately this is probably the last time I will ever get to wear them. The soles on the heels are completely bare and falling apart & have made it kinda hard to walk in them because of it. I'm pretty sure I should just invest in a new pair but I can't find the exact ones and will not settle for anything less. They cost me a mere $30 and I got an amazing 4 years out of them. Sigh... If anyone finds some twins of these beauties, let me know! I will repay you in donuts & high-fives.
