Summertime in full force. Here's a look into my weekend life by the pool with the family.
Brace yourself for an excessive amount of photos.
Jack's getting so big and super interactive. Everything's so much fun when he's around!

Not too long ago, I headed up to Vermont with about 30 other family members to celebrate my brother Jack's birthday. Crazy to think 30 people is keeping it low key but that was the intention of this year and celebrating in general. We're missing Nancy more than ever but when there's so much love surrounding you, you know she's right there. Jack is officially three! THREE!!! He's still about the same weight and height as I can remember last year (such a peanut) but he's chatting up a storm. He currently calls Cara and Kaylie "donkeys" which is actually my favorite thing ever. Vermont was amazing. There's really nothing to stress over. You don't have service so you kind of have no choice but to disconnect. We rode quads, went to flea markets, ate, drank laughed. We laughed. A lot. There's a lot to be happy about.

fourth.

A little retrospect at my fourth. Summer is in full swing & I've been avoiding the computer which ultimately means no posting other than Instagram. Yikes. Lots of pool days and a trips to the beach are keeping us sane in this humidity. I made sure to pop into Flock Boston for my 4th festive wear. Even snagged this star print Show Me Your Mumu sweater. Perfect for everyday wear even after the fourth ended. XO

braintree day.

Saturday, July 1, 2017

As you guys know I'm such a sucker for a food truck rodeo. So when I found out Lola Grace Events was hosting Braintree Day, I said count me in. Braintree Day has been going on for 44 years but this is the first time there's ever been food trucks incorporated into the event. That being said, there was so much more than just food trucks - good music, super family friendly games, dunk tanks, and raffles. Oh, and fireworks of course just in time for the 4th. Athena isn't one for fireworks so we took advantage of the gorgeous summer day and explored mostly the food festival with some friends. There was tons of trucks, a little something for everyone to find from the selection. There was no possible way you were leaving without a belly full to the brim. Some old trusted trucks that I love like Stuffed by Papi, Riceburg, and Aahhh-roma Pizza. There was also some new favorites that I hadn't tried before like Alden Park, Zinnekens Waffle Truck, Kona Ice, and Moyzilla. All delish of course. The group of us all grabbed various types of treats and reconvened for a small picnic and I will say it was incredibly successful. Sharing and trying all the different items was key to getting the full experience. Thanks Marissa & Lola Grace team for letting me join in on all the fun! Happy 4th everyone XO

a late look into easter.

Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Hiiiiii - a little late but here's a look into my Easter. I wore a simple white lightweight cotton dress from Asos with a tie waist detail. Super super super flattering in my opinion. And a great price. Thanks Asos! I paired it back to lots of chunky vintage jewelry that I've collected over the years from flea markets and a pair of Bedstu leather wrap sandals. Perfect for spring & still great come summertime. Easter was great, spent with lots of family. Lots of love. As always. Oh and guys, did I mention? I got engaged(!!!!!!!!!!!!!) shortly after taking these photos, about a week later.
