Fashion Week S/S '15

Sunday, October 5, 2014

It's kind of obvious that as a fashion fanatic, I love to check out all the runway shows during Fashion Week. You know the excitement you used to feel trying to fall asleep the night before Christmas? Yah, that's me with Fashion Week. I enjoy the endless photos pouring all over the internet, and watching the videos as soon as their uploaded. And when it's all over, I count down the days until Fashion Week and I meet again. Of all the shows I've seen so far from New York to Paris, I've definitely had some favorites: Chanel, Proenza Schouler, and Rodarte (all entirely different from one another). And to top it off, The Coveteur has provided stunning picture after stunning picture that show a different side to the shows. Here are some of my absolute faves from both on & off the runway.

1st Bruins Game

Saturday, October 4, 2014

Tuesday night, my two sisters & myself took my dad out for a little birthday celebration at a Boston Bruins game. I've actually never been to a hockey game and neither had my little sister so it was definitely something we've been looking forward to. I'm also not much of a sports fan which is why it took so long to finally go, but I gotta say, you can't help but just have a good time even if you don't really understand what's going on. And you can't really pass up beer & pretzels. You just can't. Spice up a sports tee with leather and loads of bracelets and you'll still look cute without looking like the Super Fan.

Joggers & Johnny Rockets

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

It's a rare occasion when Nick and myself actually get a day off together. We live together, so a lot of people probably assume we see enough of each other. But with crazy opposite schedules, it really makes us appreciate a full day off together. We started our Sunday afternoon at the Burlington Mall, since they had 25% off everything at their Newbury Comics. And we can't pass up discount movies and vinyl!

I kept my outfit super comfy & laid back. I didn't want an uncomfortable outfit to take away from a great day. This skirt is perfect to wear many ways, but with just a basic tee shirt, you look chic effortlessly chic. And of course, I love throwing a chunky necklace on with plain tees!

My Outfit:
Basic Tee: H&M // Lace Skirt: Forever 21

Nick's Joggers: American Eagle // Button-up: J-Crew

Other favorites from "Lolita"

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

And of course, here are some more favorites. So hard to pick just a few photos when they are all so amazing! Couldn't be happier with this look-book.

Senior Collection: Lolita

Here it is! My look-book for my Senior Collection "Lolita." My friend Steph Larsen & myself had talked about planning a look-book for quite some time. Working with Steph is such a dream. We took the time to brainstorm together, making sure the atmosphere was just a whimsical as the garments themselves. It was actually pretty easy since we knew what the other was expecting which really allowed us the opportunity to really feed off of each other. My collection was inspired from vintage laces and from the book "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov. Steph even added quotes from the book which help add to the feel of the look-book. After scouting, styling, planning a date, and collaborating with models & a makeup artist, we were able to have a successful day of shooting, despite the ridiculous pouring rain that almost made us cancel. Thank goodness we didn't! Seriously can't wait for the next one with Steph!

Stay tuned for another batch of photos with my favorite shots that didn't make the cut for the look-book but are still absolutely amazing.
