M&H City Lights turban.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Wearing my Monroe & Harlow "City Lights" turban today and absolutely loving it! It's a great piece to add a little more to your simple outfits, and not to mention SUPER soft. I wore mine with wavy hair, a lazy black cardigan, and an elephant tribal graphic tank. (Can't forget the stack of arm candy on my wrist as well.) The turban is the perfect piece to add just a bit more bohemian into the look!

Free People "Hybrid."

Thursday, February 27, 2014

Its been some time since my last post, so I figured I'd show off my beautiful new beauties that arrived last week in the mail! These Free People "Hybrid" ankle boots come in three different colors, and now I want them in every single one. These are the "charcoal" colored ones. Not quite black, not quite grey. They are a nice distressed color and perfect heel height for all day comfort. They are the perfect boots for the transition of seasons with the super cute cut-out design that can be worn with white skinnies or maybe a dress this Spring.

New items: M&H and magazines.

The other day I finally received my Monroe and Harlow headbands in the mail! This is my first time purchasing from the company and most certainly not my last. Super soft, and super chic. I cannot wait to wear them! You can pick whichever style fabric you like and then pick whichever style knotting you'd like too! I went for the "turban style" on City Lights (the grey one) and Laguna Mint (mint one). I also took a few minutes to browse Barnes and Noble before work the other day and picked up a few new magazines as well. Absolutely LOVING the new Tatler shoot with the unbelievably gorgeous Gabriella Wilde. I would recommend checking it out!

Sick day.

Thursday, January 23, 2014

Unfortunately, I've been so sick the past few days which is why I have slacked on posts. Today I'm definitely feeling way better than I have been. Since I've been too lazy to get out of bed, I took some time to catch up on my many magazines, (of course, swooning over Drew Barrymore in the new Marie Claire). I also recently started reading The Life and Legacy: Alexander McQueen by Judith Watt. Hands down, he is my favorite designer and I feel that there will never be another designer of that caliber. I have watched numerous documentaries on him, his life, his shows, but this book really goes into every little aspect of his life. The pictures are just wonderful. Also, I took some time to give myself a mani/pedi. Pantone proclaimed "Radiant Orchid" the color of the year for 2014 so I went with a lighter orchid color made by Essie called "Go Ginza." I also took some time last night to sit and watch Netflix on my iPad. One of the movies I watched was Frances Ha (2012) which focuses on the love relationship between two girl friends and the way their life and relationship changes as they grow older and slowly apart. I really enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend it.

Seven years.

Monday, January 20, 2014

As some of you may or may not know, yesterday was my anniversary with my boyfriend, Nick. We've been together for seven years and he continues to encourage me to be a better version of myself. He is extremely talented and extremely compassionate and supportive and I am by far the luckiest girl around to be able to wake up to him every morning. Nick is a fine art photographer and these photos were taken by a friend of his from school, Lindsey Camilli. All photos were taken by her, be sure to check out her website!
